Gal Gadot
Third-wave feminism is utterly confusing. It seems quite probable that many who self-identify this way also don’t really know what they are supposed to be or believe. Why is a woman who is strong and sexy and has a sense of right and wrong such a bad thing¹? I guess we’ll never know, or there’ll be a thousand 3rd-wave “reasons why not”*. Could one of those “reasons why not” be Israeli actress Gal Gadot? Within the toxic and noxious corridors of the United Nations anything is probable.
If it means interfering in an ensconced, outdated system, to help just one woman, man or child…I’m willing to accept the consequences. [Wonder Woman, episode #170]
Nicely put, Wonder Woman!
¹ BBC; ‘Is Wonder Woman qualified to be a UN ambassador?‘
* Top three contenders: 1) she’s too sexy; 2) she’s a cartoon; 3) women are not mascots (or something). Winnie the Pooh, a very un-sexy cartoon mascot for bears everywhere, became the U.N. ‘Ambassador of Friendship’ in 1998.
