Bosch Fawstin, the winner of the “Draw Mohammed” contest, is soon to be another of a long line in the Islamic witness protection program, joining luminaries such as Salman Rushdie. His website [see here] best explains his exit from the Religion of Peace™. The media, rather than ask why Muslims are drawn to violent assault for seemingly innocuous reasons, are obsessed on the why to the art exhibition. On the contrary, the media, rather than offer balance to the Piss Christ photograph [see here] were more concerned with protecting free speech and free expression. Of course, there was no violent assault by Christians, and no violently bigoted verses in the New Testament to avoid either.
And whereas Fawstin is in hiding, so too is his art. It is a new conundrum for the Western world’s leftists: how to denigrate a work of art without actually showing the art.
