The cost? Well it isn’t mentioned but I suppose we can assume it costs approximately 1,000 times more than a real tree. The reason for the change? The usual: a tree is a religious symbol apparently, it might hurt some feelings perhaps, it is meant to appease the Muslim community, it’s more modern, it’s “green”.

One only has to look at this “tree” to recognize the progression of Europe into a neo-statist dystopia where words and thoughts are criminal and trees are boxes. From the land of the still-free we wish Brussels, Belgium and the poor beleaguered people there all our best wishes. Surely the end cannot be too far away; hopefully it is quick and relatively painless.
