Some Welcomes Are More Equal Than Others At Target

Target recently forayed into the tiny (no pun) world of transgender. According to Williams Institute, 0.3% in the US identify as ‘transgender’; of these only a small percentage actually go ahead into the full sexual organ change. Therefore perhaps 99.9% of Americans probably have the genitalia with which they were blessed by God at birth.

Target’s press release, on the subject of male-genitalia individuals going into the girl’s bathroom, which is at least a 9.4 on the ‘liberal bollocks‘ scale, includes the following garbled wordiness:

Inclusivity is a core belief at Target. It’s something we celebrate. We stand for equality and equity, and strive to make our guests and team members feel accepted, respected and welcomed in our stores and workplaces every day. [Target; emphasis added]

Of the 99.9% disinfectant germ-killing levels of people having their birth genitalia, how many of this incredible majority like the idea of men following women into the bathroom? Are their thoughts and feelings being ‘included’? Do they feel this is equal and equitable treatment? Do these customers, not far from 100% of them, feel accepted, respected and welcomed [see here]?

The philosophy common to the American founders included despairing of the democratic tyranny of the majority as well as the despotic tyranny of the minority. And going to ‘rights’, where pundits usually go with this subject, it cannot be a right for one person to be put in fear of another; it is not a right to scare a six year-old girl because a fifty year-old guy says he feels like a woman.

The hypocrisy in play [see here] by corporations, governments and ‘artists’ is in full swing. However we cannot allow basic common sense to escape we people who are just fine making the fifty year-old man feel a little grumpy today because he can’t pee next to a six year-old girl in a public bathroom. Good enough.
