Leah McLaren says all the right things the right way. That’s why she has a gig writing blogs for national daily Globe & Mail. But McLaren is psychologically abusing her own son, and is allowed to do so on a national platform¹. But a McLaren is just a symptom; there are many of her ilk that are allowed to display their abuse and intolerance and bigotry, and yet consider themselves good.
If I want my son to love and respect women, I am going to have to teach him to embrace – and ideally appreciate – “girlish” things.
