Chancellor R. Bowen Loftin
It would take a very special person. Someone who has no fear. Someone who can handle losing their pension and future employment. It would be better that it happened inside the public sector: a municipal office, an educational facility, a health centre. Because the public sector is where the cancer is. And a guy like this one, “R.”, if that is his name, should be ground-breakingly honest and say something honest.
I’m not welcome in this institution. Not because of my opinion. Not because of my ideas. Not because of the content of my character. It’s because the colour of my skin is wrong. And there are too many people in this institution that hate me simply because I have the wrong colour skin. I’m white. So I have to leave.
This would be brave. At some point career-saving abject apologies [see here] must be replaced by career-killing brutal honesty.
