This comedic skit, from the hilarious stylings of Linda Sarsour, was meant to be a ‘reverse roast’, n’est-ce pas? You know, everything you say is so obviously false it’s gut-splittingly humorous. Robert Spencer goes into her stand-up routine, and breaks down his four favourite punchlines¹:
- Mohammed was a feminist.
- Mohammed was an animal rights activist.
- Mohammed was a human rights activist.
- Mohammed was the first victim of ‘Islamophobia’.
So hang on to your funny bones, sit back, and enjoy. But before you do, don’t forget the words of that much more famous raconteur, Monsieur Goebbels.
If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State. [Joseph Goebbels]
